How do we calculate
our fees ?
Our lawyers’ fees depend on various factors, including time spent on the case, research work, importance of the interests at stake and our client’s financial means.
DEMAIN strives to make justice affordable for all subjects of law and our fees are agreed upon with the client. For low-income clients, our practice accepts full or partial legal aid.
Time spent fees
The lawyer bills an hourly rate for the time spent on the case. The client is billed according to the lawyer’s working hours.
Flat-rate fees
In that case, the lawyer sets a global amount for the whole case, regardless of the length of work required, thus giving the client the possibility to anticipate his/her costs.
Fees for result
In certain situations, the lawyer can bill according to the results achieved, such as a percentage of the damages obtained in a litigation.
